Compliance Manager (m/f/d)

Together we work on tailor-made solutions for major online merchants and marketplaces and design the payment solutions of tomorrow. As Europe's largest white-label payment provider, we bear responsibility for our customers and the smooth processing of a large number of transactions day by day. To ensure this, we implement the legal and regulatory requirements and make our risks transparent within the company. This is the task of Compliance Management. 

As a Compliance Manager (m/f/d), you will play your part in ensuring the further development and effectiveness of Ratepay's compliance management system.

Your areas of responsibility are

• You are responsible for the implementation of regulatory requirements in the company and the continuous improvement of the compliance management framework
• You actively shape the further development of measures to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing, including the implementation and updating of controls
• You are the contact person for internal and external audits
• You advise managers and employees on all compliance issues, for example, you work closely with Legal and Product on the implementation of new products
• You develop and implement internal guidelines and conduct regular training sessions
• You are in regular contact with the BaFin, the German Bundesbank and FIU

• Successfully completed studies with a focus on economics or law or a comparable qualification
• At least three years of experience in compliance management or auditing, ideally in a FinTech environment
• You have a profound knowledge of the Payment Services Oversight Act (ZAG) and the Money Laundering Act (GwG)
• You have a strong sense of quality and the ability to present complex issues in a way that is easy to understand and to the point
• You are a team player and enjoy communicating within the company and with external stakeholders
• Your working style is characterised by a high level of initiative and diligence - you always approach tasks in a structured, solution-oriented and independent manner
• You are characterised by high integrity and reliability
• Very good negotiation and communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken
