Data Scientist (m/f/d)

We are looking for a team-player and problem solver Data Scientist (m/f/d) with an extraordinary analytical mindset to widen our teams' analytical competencies.

Your goals will be:

• Optimise business operations - increase revenue and reduce costs
• Translate complex business problems into mathematical problems (e.g. optimization tasks)
• Teaching and mentoring team members

You will join a team of data experts. The team's mission is to enable growth by leveraging data. The team develops, measures and optimises strategic key performance indicators (KPIs). It utilizes a range of advanced quantitative methods (e.g., financial modelling, econometrics, causal inference, experimentation techniques,

Your tasks are:

• Improve our analytics competencies by appliying advanced data science technics
• Develop, produce and maintain forecasting models e.g. VaR, Bad debt provisions, Returns, customer service contacts, etc.
• Improve scientific approaches
• Research and experiment with new methods and data sets

Must-haves:

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field 
• Proficient with SQL, Python (or R), Tableau
• Applying good software engineering practices (most important to us: clean code, testing, version control, automation, containerization and code review)
• Profound knowledge of statistical learning theory such as Bayesian inference and classical regression and forecasting models and their application to business problems
• Experience with developing and deploying quantitative applications (ML/simulation/optimisation/statistical tests)
• Able to perform reproducible, fast and accessible data analysis

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with banking, payments, e-commerce, financial services or fin-tech
• Experience with Software Ops: monitoring, continuous integration, delivery and training , automation, docker synchronisation etc.
• Experience with Modern data stacks: snowflake, airflow, dbt
