Your duties

Together we work on tailor-made solutions for major online merchants and marketplaces and design the payment solutions of tomorrow.

In the area of Database Administration (m/f/d) MongoDB / PostgreSQL  you are responsible for installation, maintenance, operation, backup, recovery and performance improvements.

Your tasks:
  • You take over the conception and implementation of the installation of MongoDB and PostgreSQL in stand-alone and cluster operation
  • Perform maintenance, backups and recovery tests independently at regular intervals
  • In cooperation with our data engineers, you are responsible for the analysis and optimization of the performance of individual queries and the overall system
  • In addition, you assist in the migration of our databases
  • Together with your team you improve existing processes and optimize the quality-oriented work
  • You are an active member of our agile and team-oriented software development process and work closely with our cross-functional teams at Ratepay

Your profile

  • At least 2-3 years experience in database administration
  • You have successfully completed a study of computer science or a similar education
  • Ideally, you will have in-depth knowledge of MongoDB, PostgreSQL, SQL Extensions, Backup & Recovery, Linux Servers, Replication, Cluster Management and HA Strategies
  • Your are familiar with loadbalancing, automation, ansible, performance tuning, and JSON, and gain experience with agile methods
  • You are passionate about your subject and want to get involved in a rapidly growing company You are open, outgoing and enjoy working in a team
  • You work independently and have the will to constantly improve yourself
  •  You have very good English skills, both written and spoken
