Devops Engineer

Ratepay's platform processes hundreds of thousands of transactions per day in order to enable secure payments for our merchants and their customers. 
For this purpose, DevOps Engineers, Platform Engineers, Database Administrators and Cloud Engineers closely collaborate with Software Engineers to build and maintain a robust and secure platform by following best practices in an highly automated fashion. We are using future proof state-of-the-art technologies in order to remain flexible going forward. 

• Maintaining IaC deployments in AWS (Terraform, Terragrunt) following best practices
• Proactively automating maintenance lifecycle for new and existing services
• Extending and improving our current CI/CD setup
• Supporting engineering teams internally in regard to IaC deployments
• Communicate and document changes
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, knowledge exchange with your colleagues
• Experience with Logging, Tracing, Monitoring in Cloud context
• Nice to have - experience with Orchestration management (K8s, Fargate, EKS) as well as Ansible

• DevOps Mindset (Release, Deploy, Monitor, Operate)
• Extensive knowledge with containerization technologies
• Experience with at least one big Cloud Provider (AWS, Azure, Google) or similar on-premise experience
• Some knowledge of a programming language like Python, Java/Kotlin or similar
• Some knowledge with Terraform deployments
• Experience in monitoring cloud infrastructure with tools like Prometheus
• Consideration of business-driven development on a technical level
• Quality oriented mindset, setting or follwing relevant KPIs
• Proactive communication, considering all stakeholders
