Your duties

As an Engineering Manager - Payments, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and developers working on our payments platform. This includes the development and maintenance of new and existing features, as well as ensuring that our platform is highly scalable, secure and reliable. You will also oversee the migration of legacy systems to AWS.


  • Lead, manage and mentor a team of software engineers and developers
  • Develop and implement best practices for software development and testing to ensure high-quality and reliable payment systems.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize product and technical requirements for payment systems.
  • Collaborate with other teams such as product management and operations to ensure on-time delivery of features and products.
  • Act as the point of contact for all technical aspects of the payment systems and provide guidance and support to the team.
  • Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and testing to ensure that the team is following best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends in the payment systems industry and bring new ideas to the team.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to the software engineering team to develop their technical and leadership skills.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Engineering to develop and execute the engineering strategy for the payment systems.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field 
  • 7+ years of experience in software development, including at least 3 years in a management role 
  • Strong experience in payments systems, including experience with payment gateways, processors, and other payment providers 
  • Strong experience in web development, including experience with modern web technologies  
  • Strong experience with Agile development methodologies and experience with Jira, Confluence, etc. 
  • Strong experience with AWS, Azure or GCP. 
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills. 
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality software on schedule 
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills 
  • Strong team player, with a focus on collaboration and communication
