Engineering Manager (m/f/d)

Together we work on tailor-made solutions for major online merchants and marketplaces and design the payment solutions of tomorrow.

• Empower Ratepay engineers to be their best version. Be a servant leader and help them to excel.
• Focus on people and their needs and help them to be successful in their teams. Enable autonomous and cross-functional teams, promote self-organization and move the overall organization of product engineering forward.
  
• Shape and identify with our IT strategy to enable Ratepay's vision, mission and strategy in the development and operation of our products. Help employees align with this as well as Ratepays OKR.
• Be an active part of the product engineering leadership team. Together you e.g. take care of on-call duty, support the practice groups and nurture developer relations.
  
• Take responsibility for employer branding, recruiting and hiring of engineers (including freelancers) or any other topic that helps us to grow as an organization.
• Be the leader for a group of engineers, ensure their personal growth and take on the corresponding administrative tasks.

• Leadership experience of teams and indivuduals
• Act with empathy and live the mentoring and coaching mindset
• Feel successful when others shine
• Good understanding of agile practices and why they help you and your colleagues to create more value
• Experience in recruiting and hiring and managing external service providers
• Several years of experience in the field of software product engineering
• Common desing patterns and principles
• Full business proficiency in English, German is a plus
