Intern - Sustainability (m/f/d)

THE ROLE

We are looking for an Intern (f/m/d) to join our Sustainability Team. This internship presents a unique opportunity to contribute to our company's commitment to meeting the new standards of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and to support the development of young talents. The intern will actively engage in research, analysis, and decision-making processes related to reporting standards within the finance sector, helping shape our approach to sustainability reporting in the coming years.

This position is full-time (40h per week) for a period of 3 months.

As part of our team, you will:

• Collaborate with team members to assess and select the reporting standard that aligns best with the CSRD/ESRS directive approach, considering our company's specific needs and goals.
• Assist in determining the most suitable reporting standard that will drive our sustainability efforts in the coming years, taking into account industry trends and Ratepay's strategic direction.
• Contribute to the construction of our current sustainability reporting for the year 2022, utilizing existing data sources and working closely with team members to ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Develop dashboards and build up reporting tools in order to provide visibility of current ESG actions throughout the company.
• Engage in cross-functional collaboration to gather necessary data and insights for effective reporting.
• Actively participate in team discussions, sharing your insights, ideas, and recommendations to enhance our sustainability initiatives.
• Learn about various aspects of sustainability practices, reporting, and corporate social responsibility, gaining valuable exposure to the field.

• Currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field such as Sustainability Studies, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• Understanding of CSRD, DNK, GRI and B-Corp policies and frameworks.
• Strong interest in sustainability, environmental issues and corporate social responsibility.
• Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather, synthesize and present information effectively.
• Reporting experience (feel free to share any examples from previous projects)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for data analysis and presentation purposes.
• Strong communication skills in English and in German (C1 or higher).
• Eagerness to learn and contribute proactively to the team's goals.
• Prior experience in sustainability projects, the finance sector, or reporting standards is a plus.
