Here's What You'll Be Doing

In this crucial role, you’ll join Ratepay’s Data department in driving data-driven decision making by democratizing access to information via self-service analytics. You will work with data engineers, analysts, and ML engineers to strengthen the foundation of data products and enable business users to have seamless access to granular data via SQL LLMs.
 
The Data department at Ratepay encompasses Data Engineering, BI, Product Analytics and Data Analytics. We work with cloud-native CI/CD tech stack (Snowflake, AWS, Airflow, Tableau, BitBucket, Jenkins, etc.) in an AGILE way, infusing the data mesh principles into our development and release strategies. The role reports to the Head of Data, focusing on automating self-service reporting products and embedding data-informed decision-making across Risk, Product, and Finance domains.

The impact
 
  • Drive the self-service reporting data product strategy by building on Ratepay’s cloud native CI/CD stack (Snowflake, AWS, Airflow, Tableau, BitBucket, Jenkins, etc).
  • Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and ML-eng leads to develop LLM-based text-to-SQL/python apps. 
  • Thought partner for mid-senior analysts and engineers to foster professional growth and development.
  • Own Ratepay’s KPI definition and cataloging.
  • Improve Ratepay’s data mesh inspired data modeling, analysis, reporting, and visualization practices mapped to the business use case.
  • Influence data availability to enable analysts to develop insights into risk models, debt management, financing performance, etc.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics, ML, and Finance leadership teams to scope emerging analytics use cases.
  • Support improvements in data and platform infrastructure to enhance analytics capabilities and tools.

Your profile

  • Have experience in developing self-service analytics as a product via engineering practices.
  • Be self-motivated and enthusiastic about solving analytics and self-service reporting use-cases with process automation tools and Gen AI.
  • Bring simplicity to seemingly complex topics to engage senior management.
  • Have experience in data analysis, interpretation, and visualization.
  • Be a strategic thinker with problem-solving skills, focusing on driving business impact.
  • Have exposure to project management frameworks, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within scope.
  • Be proficient in SQL, data cataloging tools, data lakes and self-service BI tooling.
  • Have had exposure to statistical analysis and machine learning techniques.
  • Be proficient in English and optionally in German.
