Your duties

“To make a payment engine that helps Ratepay reach more businesses with its buy-now-pay-later products”.  
 
This involves modernizing our SAP system, helping us migrate to the cloud, and creating software to help our finance team make better and quicker decisions. 
 
 
 
In this context, we are looking for a SAP Inhouse basis administrator to work closely with our core payments team to turn this vision into a reality!  
 
Your Focus 
  • Maintain the SAP system landscape, including the SAP application servers, database servers, and associated software components. We are not on S4 Hana, but plan to migrate in the future. 
  • Monitor the performance of the SAP system. This includes tuning the system parameters, monitoring the system workload, and optimising database performance. 
  • Maintain the security of the SAP system, including configuring user accounts, roles, and authorisations, and implementing security policies and procedures. 
  • Provide technical support for the SAP system to end-users, developers, and technical consultants. This includes troubleshooting issues and providing guidance on system usage. 
  • Plan and execute system upgrades, including installing new software versions, applying patches, and migrating data. 

  • Implement disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity in the event of a system outage. 
  • Document the system configurations and procedures to ensure that the system is well-documented, and the procedures are easy to follow. 
  • Collaborate with other teams, like product managers, developers, infrastructure teams, and vendors, to ensure the SAP system meets business requirements and integrates with other IT systems. 


Your profile

What we need from you   
  • A degree in computer science or comparable training with a high IT affinity. 
  • Experience in SAP basis administration +8 years. 
  • Experience in accounting and accounts receivable management processes, we only work with FI/FI-CA modules. 
  • Experience building platform systems, we are on our cloud journey and need experts that can helps us migrate to AWS.  
  • Experience working in cross-functional scrum teams and managing vendors to achieve your goals.  

  • You must have great communication skills in English, German would be helpful too.
