Your duties

Together, we work every day on customized solutions for major online retailers and marketplaces, shaping the payment solutions of tomorrow.

In Senior BI Engineering you will be responsible for the development and operation of Ratepay’s self-service analytics platform.

Your tasks are:

• You evolve our self-service analytics platform together with our team of BI Engineers
• You maximize the level of automation for data delivery and deployments
• You enable stakeholders in different projects to gain complex insights from available data
• You handle large data sets on a daily basis and are an expert in understanding complex data structures and models

Your profile

• You successfully completed your studies in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Informatics or gained comparable professional experience
• You gathered significant work experience in BI, Business or Data Analytics applying BI and Data Warehousing concepts and data modelling techniques (OLAP or OLTP) 
• You understand various business processes and models, knowing the specifics of different departments 
• You have profound knowledge in data retrieval and preparation using SQL, R or Python, which is accompanied by a solid understanding of data delivery pipelines and reporting infrastructure setups with tools like Tableau or Excel
• Your experience in process automation with Tableau using available interfaces (Rest API, Extract API) cloud-based reporting environments and version control (e.g. Git, SourceTree, Bitbucket) would be a nice add-on 
• You are a critical thinker - you ask the right questions and challenge ideas to determine the best solution
• You lead by example and can motivate your team to achieve your vision 
• You have an open and frank communication style and enjoy working in a like-minded team
• You enjoy challenges and developing creative solutions, but remain practical and use-case oriented
• You have an agile mindset, the will to continually improve yourself and your working mantra includes: “You build it, you run it” 
• You are business proficient in English both written and spoken
