Senior Data Engineering - Cloud Data Platform (m/f/d)

As part of our diverse data department, you will be responsible for the implementation and continuous development of Ratepay’s data platform. You take active ownership of all aspects and enable our data stakeholders to make truly data-driven decisions. You'll foster a data culture that is focused on quality and you'll design intelligent and sustainable data models. 

Your tasks:

• You improve Ratepay's data platform in cooperation with our data team
• You integrate new data sources and design sustainable and intelligent data models 
• You implement ETL processes and maximize the level of automation for data delivery and deployments
• You provide documentation, training and consulting to stakeholders in order to enable self-service data usage
• Together with the DEA team, you will drive your own ideas and improve existing processes

• You have completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field with Data Engineering experience
• You gathered extensive experience in data warehousing, data analytics, data modeling techniques and cloud-based data management
• You like complex data processing environments: Designing complex data models using state-of-the-art data modeling techniques (e.g. OLAP, Data Vault)
• You are an expert in ETL/ELT implementation and automation as well as SQL programming
• You have excellent knowledge of quantitative statistics, Data Pipeline and ETL Monitoring in cloud environments 
• Your experience with Python and version control (e.g. Git, SourceTree, Bitbucket) would be a nice add-on 
• Your strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills turn requirements into high-quality solutions 
• You own a strong ability to change perspectives and maintain an overview of complex relationships between business processes and data
• You have an open and frank communication style and enjoy working in a like-minded team

• Business proficiency in English, both written and spoken, complete your profile
