Senior Machine Learning Engineer (m/f/d)

At Ratepay, we are on a mission to level up our fraud prevention systems using all the data that we have and even data we don’t yet have. Your primary task? To develop smart solutions that make use of this data and craft the systems and infrastructure that will make our anti-fraud quest a reality.

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer (m/f/d), you will play a pivotal role in engineering data-driven applications that strengthen our decision-making processes and will allow us to put an end to fraudulent activities.

Further, you will be responsible for enabling the entire Machine Learning life cycle, which includes ensuring that research data is readily accessible, workloads are efficiently scaled, evaluations are effectively visualized and configurable pipelines are established. Currently, we are in the process of replacing and modernizing all our existing infrastructure as part of our migration to AWS.

The role

• Develop data-driven applications that empower our decision-making processes.
• Help architect and construct our entire Machine Learning platform on the AWS cloud, as we modernize and migrate our infrastructure.
• Create a nurturing Machine Learning research environment where data flows freely and workloads scale without limits.
• Build Machine Learning models, ensuring their efficient operation in real-world applications.
• Design large-scale deployment pipelines that handle tasks such as automatic retraining and model selection.
• Set up a feature store that supplies our models with both real-time as well as offline data.
• Be a mentor and guide to junior team members, provide direction on coding and foster a culture of continuous learning within the team.

• You have completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Machine Learning, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python and the drive to write elegant, well-tested and clean code.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and the deployment of Machine Learning models.
• Ability to build data pipelines that keep our models well-fed, from research to production.
• A solid grasp of the fundamentals of Machine Learning concepts.
