About Us: Welcome to RatePay, Europe's No. 1 white-label payment provider - We exist so consumers can pay easily, conveniently and safely online.
Established in 2009, Rate Pay is Europe's leading white-label BNPL payment provider.
50% of German shoppers have already paid with RatePay, we manage approx. €4.7 billion in transactions and handle approx. 2.5M transactions per month.
Our products include instalment payments with immediate online confirmation, open invoice, direct debit, and prepayment but what makes us different is that we put our consumers totally in control.
How? Because we don't act as a payment "brand" in-between our Merchant or Customers, but rather a technology service.
Through our 350+ commercial partnerships we take care of payment transactions for many of the largest online shops & payment providers such as such as Eurowings, About You, PayPal, eBay and many more.
Our Vision: To empower commerce, that seamlessly and sustainably connects customers, businesses, and financial partners.
Our Mission: To enable payments by radically simplifying the way businesses and their customers conduct financial transactions, by developing state-of-the-art customer-centric technology, and placing people, society and the environment at the core of our actions
Your Mission:
My name is Carlos and I am a director of product for Ratepay.
This is a very exciting to join the business as we have a number of new and innovative projects underway as we look to expand our offering into 2023 and beyond. Furthermore, we're building a new all-star product team that sits within the payments domain that will work directly with me. I want to make a payment engine that helps Ratepay reach more businesses with its buy-now-pay-later product.
This involves setting up complex software-based financial accounting systems, connecting our systems to payment schemes in multiple countries, and creating software to help our treasury teams manage a portfolio of unsecured loans.
In this context, I am looking for a Product Manager (m/f/d) to help me. I value passion, and obsessive attention to detail (aka craftsmanship). I work well with people that are curious and are hungry to learn more. Here are some high-level details, but there are more tasks involved.
Your Focus:
Payments: Build a payment engine. This includes creating something slick and functional, including integrating multiple payment methods, beautifully simple payment processing, and programmable APIs so other teams can build faster.
Accounting: Continually improve the dataset and architecture of our accounting platform that supports the interactions between our customers and our finance team.
Software engineering: Work closely with our engineers on the entire stack using Java for interphase connections and ABAP for SAP
