Your duties

Together, we work every day on customized solutions for major online retailers and marketplaces, shaping the payment solutions of tomorrow.
As Software Architect (m/f/d), your decisions are characterized by a deep understanding of our business model and the strategic direction of our company. Your focus is on factors such as resilience, modularity and scalability.
Your role

• Consult Technology Leaders, Product Managers and Business Owners on the impact of product ideas and possible implementations
• Influence and shape Ratepay's IT Organization
• Coach, guide and mentor engineering teams on software architecture and technology choices
• Share software architecture knowledge, findings and standard methodologies
• Ensure quality and maintainability by evolving architecture and tech stack, code reviews, refactoring, standards and improving build and test systems
• Contribute to high-quality, well-tested and scalable solutions

Your profile

• Strong background in computer science fundamentals
• Extensive experience in Solution design and architecture
• Familiar with software architecture principles (UML, design pattern)
• Excellent communication skills at all levels from engineers to management
• Capable to reduce complexity, show dependencies and impact
• Professional experience with various methods and approaches e.g. BDD, TDD
• Agile mindset and strong learning habits
• Your English has full professional proficiency
