Your Mission

You’ll join Ratepay’s Data domain to drive financial reporting and analytics by democratizing access to reporting-ready data via self-service analytics. In the role, you will work closely with the analytics engineering lead and data engineers to strengthen the financial reporting offering on our cloud-native tech stack to enable business users to dive into first and second-order questions via self-service.
 
The Data department at Ratepay encompasses Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering and BI, Product Analytics and Data Analytics. We work with cloud-native CI/CD tech stack (Snowflake, AWS, Airflow, Tableau, BitBucket, Jenkins, etc.) in an AGILE way, infusing the data mesh principles into our development and release strategies. The role reports to the Head of Data, focusing on automating self-service reporting products and embedding data-informed decision-making across Risk, Product, and Finance domains.

The Impact
  • Work closely with the analytics engineering lead to drive the self-service reporting data product development by building on Ratepay’s cloud native CI/CD stack (Snowflake, AWS, Airflow, Tableau, BitBucket, Jenkins, etc).
  • Collaborate with finance domain experts, data engineers, and data analysts to scale the since reporting suite by merging datasets from SAP BW and SAP ERP.
  • Thought partner to finance domain leads predict and plan for emerging reporting needs.
  • Own KPI definition and cataloging for the finance space.
  • Ensure data availability from source systems to enable rapid response to emerging anomalies.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics, ML, and Finance leadership teams to scope OKR cycles.
  • Support improvements in data and platform infrastructure to enhance analytics capabilities and tools.

Your Profile

  • Have experience in developing datasets crucial for finance operations with exposure to SAP and SAP BW.
  • Exposure to financial know-how to develop solutions to support finance and controlling domains via cloud tech stack.
  • Be proficient in SQL and hands-on experience with Python to replicate Microsoft Excel based reporting logic.
  • Bring simplicity to seemingly complex topics to scope delivery within OKR cycles. 
  • Have experience in data analysis, interpretation, and visualization.
  • Be a strategic thinker with problem-solving skills, focusing on driving business impact.
  • Have had exposure to statistical analysis and machine learning techniques.
  • Be proficient in English and preferably in German.
