from today

Your Mission

Together, we work every day on customized solutions for large online retailers and marketplaces and design the payment solutions of tomorrow.

As a  Senior Risk Manager (m/f/d) in our risk department, you understand risk management as an area of tension between merchant satisfaction, end customer satisfaction and risk mitigation. In doing so, you prevent merchants, their buyers and Ratepay from fraud and credit risk defaults and thus have a significant influence on our contribution margin.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring and steering key performance indicators such as probabilities of defaults, fraud rates and acceptance rates are part of your daily work.
  • You continuously optimize the automated scoring process through risk analyses in Python and SQL in close collaboration with other teams like Data Science, Business Analytics, IT, Commercial and Legal.
  • You are the go-to partner for internal teams and merchants/partners when it comes to managing consumer risk. This involves evaluating risks in new product developments, contributing risk insights to pricing calculations, and supporting business growth through guidance on improving traffic quality and conversion performance.
  • You specify the business requirements for the further development of the systems and tools your department use as well as optimize processes within your team in terms of scalability and operational excellence.

Your Profile

  • You have working experience in the ecommerce, payment or banking industry and relevant experience in credit- and/ or fraud risk management.
  • Striving for operational excellence while maintaining a strategic, holistic view and considering the impact of decisions on the team and stakeholders is part of your approach.
  • Experience in cross functional work/projects as well as data analysis skills in SQL (advanced) and Python (beginner) complement your profile.
  • It is easy for you to communicate clearly and effective with team members, merchants/partners and other departments in English (German is a plus).
