The role 

The Senior System Engineer at Ratepay holds a pivotal role in the administration and development of ServiceNow alongside corporate IT systems. Key responsibilities include the oversight of ServiceNow administration, network administration, firewall management, and coordination with service partners 

 

• ServiceNow Administration: Managing major release updates, application management, monitoring instance health, bug/script fixing, vulnerability assessment, MFA/SSO implementation, data import/export, and API connector maintenance. 
• Security Skills: Ensuring operational safety across all IT systems and networks. 
• Network Administration: Administering and managing HPE Aruba/Comware and Meraki Networks. 
• Firewall Management: Administering and managing PaloAlto Cluster Firewall, Vmware NSX, and Watchguard. 
• Service Provider Management: Overseeing external service providers, including cost control, feature development, incident coordination, and project management. 
• License Management: Managing licenses efficiently to ensure compliance and optimal usage. 

 
Desirable Skills 

• Microsoft Skills: Microsoft administration experience, especially in Active Directory and PowerShell scripting. 
• Experience with ServiceNow APIs: Proficiency in working with APIs in ServiceNow, with experience integrating with Atlassian, SAP, or Salesforce systems. 
• JavaScript: Proficient in JavaScript, with the ability to develop and customize solutions within the ServiceNow platform. 
• Database Knowledge: Experience with databases within the ServiceNow environment, including database management and optimization.
