As a DevOps Engineer at Ratepay, you will play a crucial role in our mission to streamline and enhance our payment processing systems. 
 
Ratepay is seeking a System & Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and manage IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems. The role involves automating routine tasks, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize IT operations. The ideal candidate has experience with Windows and Linux administration, enterprise tools like JIRA and Confluence, virtualization technologies, scripting languages, and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure AD. Additional experience with MDM, IAM, network security, and infrastructure as code is a plus. Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills are essential. 

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Design, deploy, and manage IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
  • Automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency through scripting and other tools.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and optimize IT operations.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to recommend improvements.

Your profile

  • Completed education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.  
  • Proven experience as a System Engineer or similar role.  
  • Experience with Enterprise administration (Windows Server, MDM Intune, JIRA, Confluence)
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash).  
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS EC2, Azure AD).  
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.  
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities working with diverse teams
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Initial experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Proxmox).   
  • Initial experience with Mobile Device Management (Microsoft Intune)
  • Initial experience with Identity and Access Management (OKTA)
  • Initial experience with Virtualization products (VMWare NSX, Proxmox, ESXi)
  • configure and manage network and firewall in the data center (firewalls, VPN, etc.). (Palo Alto, Watchguard, Cisco Meraki)
  • Ability to write and use infrastructure as code via Terraform (HCP, JSON) for EC2 instances on AWS
