Here's What You'll Be Doing

Ratepay is a dynamic and innovative fintech company dedicated to revolutionizing payment solutions in the online retail sector. We empower e-commerce businesses with flexible and secure payment options, allowing them to optimize their revenue streams. As a Financial Controller (m/f/d), you’ll be a key player in our Finance team, taking ownership of critical cost control and financial analysis tasks while driving operational efficiency and accuracy. You’ll also be the go-to expert for financial reporting and strategic insights, helping us shape informed business decisions and foster continuous improvement.
 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Conduct SG&A and IT cost controlling, ensuring accurate allocation and budgeting for operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement cost center reporting, ensuring timely and accurate data for decision-making.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of balance sheet and cash flow statements to identify trends and support financial planning.
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual KPI reporting and dashboard updates.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment on financial targets, budgets, and variance analysis.
  • Support process improvement initiatives within the controlling team to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Your profile

  • Strong Excel modeling skills, including experience with advanced formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling.
  • Proficiency in understanding and analyzing balance sheets, cash flow, and P&L statements.
  • Knowledge of cost accounting principles and experience with cost allocation methodologies.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting software (e.g. SAP, Navision, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in German and English to work effectively across departments.

It usually consists of a role-specific case study or technical assessment as well as assessing values alignment with some senior members of the team you would be joining.

The coffee chat would generally take place with either a senior stakeholder from the business area you are joining such as a C-level leader or Head of department, or in some cases with a Senior HRBP.
